CHANEL’s ARTS & CULTURE magazine Vol. 2

Works by Minjung Kim, Kim Bohie, Kim Sung Yoon, Ayoung Kim, Park Young-sook, and Yang Jung Uk are featured in Vol. 2 of ARTS & CULTURE, the magazine published by CHANEL. Produced by Frieze with the support of CHANEL, NOW & NEXT is a video series that explores intergenerational dialogue in Korean contemporary art and the artists’ practices. The four-part series designates an established artist as “NOW” and an artist representing the next generation as “NEXT,” bringing the two together to share their artistic inspirations and working methods. In 2024, Minjung Kim was paired with Kim Sung Yoon, and Park Young-sook with Yang Jung Uk, as the “NOW” and “NEXT" artists. Ayoung Kim also took part in 2024, and Kim Bohie in 2025. Meanwhile, Ayoung Kim has been named the only Korean recipient of the 2026 CHANEL Next Prize.

김민정, 김보희, 김성윤, 김아영, 박영숙, 양정욱 작가의 작품이 샤넬이 발행하는 매거진 『ARTS & CULTURE』 Vol. 2에 소개된다. 이번 호는 샤넬이 후원하는 프리즈의 영상 시리즈 〈NOW & NEXT〉를 통해 한국 현대미술의 세대 간 교류와 작업 세계를 조명한다. 〈NOW & NEXT〉는 기성세대 작가를 ‘NOW’, 다음 세대를 대표하는 작가를 ‘NEXT’로 선정해 두 세대의 작가가 만나 각자의 예술적 영감과 작업 방식을 나누는 4부작 시리즈다. 2024년에는 김민정과 김성윤, 박영숙과 양정욱이 각각 ‘NOW’와 ‘NEXT’ 작가로 참여했으며, 2024년에는 김아영, 2025년에는 김보희 작가가 ‘NOW’로 해당 시리즈에 참여했다. 한편, 김아영은 유일한 한국 작가로 2026년 샤넬 넥스트 프라이즈(CHANEL Next Prize) 수상자로 선정됐다. 

『ARTS & CULTURE』 Vol. 2는 10월 23일부터 전 세계 지정 독립 서점 및 매거진숍, 삼청동의 서점 CURRICULUM에서도 만나볼 수 있다.
