Chung Zuyoung and Tomás Saraceno are participating in the 2024 Daegu Forum III, Whose Forest, Whose World at the Daegu Art Museum. This curated group exhibition aims to reflect on anthropocentric narratives and evoke a new ecological sensitivity by introducing works of contemporary Korean and international artists on environmental crisis. 

The exhibition includes Chung Zuyoung’s paintings from series M, which captures ever-changing quality of nature by depicting natural phenomena such as clouds, climate, sunsets, and sunrise, and another series Big Year that questions the reality of the universe by transferring media images of the space collected from newspaper articles into painting. Also showcased are Tomás Saraceno’s Calder Upside Down 30/18/12/8, a mobile-like sculpture that moves solely by the flow of air without any mechanical devices, and Ha Chi Ki··· that visualizes the invisible act of breathing through traces left by soap bubbles. The exhibition will run through June 2, 2024. 

대구미술관의 2024년 대구포럼 Ⅲ 《누구의 숲, 누구의 세계》 전에서 정주영과 토마스 사라세노의 작품이 소개되고 있다. 이번 전시는 환경, 생태계의 위기에 관한 국내외 작가들의 동시대 작품을 통해 인간 중심적 서사에 대해 성찰하고, 새로운 생태적 감수성을 환기하기 위한 기획전이다. 

정주영의 변화하는 구름, 기후, 일몰과 일출 등 자연의 고정적이지 않은 모습을 담아낸 〈M〉 연작과 신문 기사 중 우주와 관련된 매체 이미지를 회화로 옮기며 우주의 실재에 대한 질문을 사유한 ‘큰 한해’ 연작이 소개된다. 또한 동력장치 없이 공기의 흐름만으로 움직이는 일종의 모빌 작업인 토마스 사라세노의 〈칼더 업사이드 다운 30/18/12/8〉과 비누 방울의 흔적을 통해 ‘호흡’이라는 눈에 보이지 않는 행위를 가시화한 〈하 치 키···〉가 전시된다. 전시는 6월 2일까지.
