Moon Kyungwon and Jeon Joonho’s exhibition Seoul Weather Station is on view at Art Sonje Center. Since 2009, Moon and Jeon has posed questions about the social role of art and presented works that revolve around the rapid changes and crisis faced by humanity; these issues are including but not limited to political and economic irony, historical conflicts and climate change. The artist duo debuts a new work To Build a Fire (2022), an audience-immersive installation presented from a non-human perspective, at this exhibition. Within this multimedia installation, viewers can experience a virtual world with a guidance of a SPOT robot. Throughout the exhibition Mobile Agora: Seoul Weather Station (2022) will provide a participatory platform for discourse programs with experts from different fields.
문경원 & 전준호 작가가 아트선재센터에서 《서울 웨더 스테이션》 전을 개최한다. 2009년부터 듀오로 활동하며 정치·경제적 모순, 역사적 갈등, 기후 변화와 같은 인류가 직면한 위기와 급변하는 세상에서 예술의 역할을 탐구하는 작업들을 선보여왔다. 이번 전시에는 비인간(non-human) 관점에서 펼쳐지는 관객 몰입형 설치 작업 <불피우기>(2022)를 최초로 공개한다. 관객은 멀티미디어 설치 작업 안에서 가상의 세계를 스팟 로봇의 안내에 따라 체험하게 된다. 담론 생산과 창의적 협업을 위한 참여 플랫폼 <모바일 아고라: 서울 웨더 스테이션> 통해서는 다양한 분야의 전문가들과의 토크 프로그램을 전시 기간 동안 진행할 예정이다.
