Kim Oki 김오키: SAUVE QUI PEUT Music video

Gallery Hyundai presents the music video for SAUVE QUI PEUT, an album by musician Kim Oki. Developed in connection with Gallery Hyundai’s exhibition SAUVE QUI PEUT, the album extends the exhibition’s central inquiries through Kim Oki’s singular musical language. This is the official music video for the album.

The video features Ya-man, with lyrics and vocals by Yamagata Tweakster (a.k.a. Hahn Vad), a people’s entertainer, shamanistic performer, and spiritual pillar of Korea’s independent music scene, and stars Kim Oki and actress Ok Ja-yeon. The music video was produced by Gallery Hyundai and directed by filmmaker Lee Tak.

갤러리현대는 뮤지션 김오키의 앨범 《할 수 있는 자가 구하라(SAUVE QUI PEUT)》의 뮤직비디오를 공개한다. 갤러리현대의 전시 《할 수 있는 자가 구하라》에서 출발한 프로젝트로, 전시가 제기하는 문제의식을 김오키만의 독창적인 음악적 서사로 확장한 앨범의 공식 뮤직비디오이다.

뮤직비디오의 곡은 민중 엔터테이너이자 샤머니즘적 퍼포머이며 한국 자립음악 생태계의 정신적 지주인 야마가타 트윅스터(a.k.a 한받)가 작사 및 보컬로 참여한 〈꼭 그렇게 웃통을 벗어 야만(했냐고)〉으로 김오키와 배우 옥자연이 출연한다. 뮤직비디오는 갤러리현대가 제작, 영화감독 이탁이 맡아 진행했다.
