Ayoung Kim and Christine Sun Kim was recognized among the year’s most influential figures in contemporary art as ArtReview announced its 2025 Power 100 on December 4. Since 2002, ArtReview has annually ranked leading individuals of influence in the contemporary art world.
Christine Sun Kim ranked 34 this year. Based in Berlin, the Korean-American artist explores how sound functions as a tool for social interaction and how systems of translation, authority, and perception are constructed within the act of communication itself. Her new Mind series is currently on view at Art Basel Miami Beach 2025 and in Rock, Paper, Scissors: Transformation of Paper at Gallery Hyundai, Seoul. Moreover, she is featured at the 15th Shanghai Biennale.
Ayoung Kim ranked 77. Recently named as the first Korean recipient of the LG Guggenheim Award, Kim has reaffirmed her position as a vanguard figure in media art. Earlier this year, she presented solo exhibitions at Atelier Hermès and Hamburger Bahnhof, followed by her first U.S. solo exhibition Delivery Dancer Codex at MoMA PS1 and new commissioned performance at the Performa 2025 Biennial. Kim continues to expand her international endeavors through exhibitions at major institutional and biennales, including the Thailand Biennale, Noor Riyadh, Copenhagen Contemporary, Tate Modern, and the Mori Art Museum.

영국의 현대미술 매거진 〈아트리뷰(ArtReview)〉가 12월 4일 발표한 ‘2025 파워 100’에 김아영과 김 크리스틴 선이 나란히 선정되었다. 〈아트리뷰〉는 2002년부터 현대 미술계의 작가, 컬렉터, 큐레이터, 아트페어, 갤러리, 기관 등을 대상으로 매년 가장 영향력 있는 100인을 발표하고 있다.
김 크리스틴 선은 34위에 올랐다. 베를린을 기반으로 활동하는 김 크리스틴 선은 한국계 미국인 작가로, 소리가 사회적 소통의 도구로 기능하는 방식과 소통 속에서 형성되는 번역, 권위, 인식의 체계를 탐구한다. 아트바젤 마이애미 비치의 갤러리현대 부스와 갤러리현대 《Rock, Paper, Scissors: Transformation of Paper》에서 신작 〈Mind〉 시리즈가 소개되고 있으며, 상하이 비엔날레에서 전시를 선보이고 있다.
