Aerocene, a community project and non-profit foundation established by Tomás Saraceno, has been awarded the 2025 Blue Sky Global Arts Prize.This prize, awarded by the Global Leaders Institute for Arts Innovation, celebrates cultural organizations spearheading an innovative approach to the relevance of arts in our time.

The Aerocene community, active in 158 cities, across 37 countries and 6 continents, was selected from thousands of nominations and 25 shortlisted projects by a distinguished jury of innovators, foreign secretaries, prime ministers, artists, musicians, CEOs and artistic directors.

Aerocene is an era-in-the-making, a community, a non-profit foundation. As a movement for eco-social justice, adrift on air, floating free from fossil fuels, lithium, or hydrogen, Aerocene moves us towards an ethical re-alliance with the Earth and its cosmic web(s) of life.

에어로센은 6개 대륙, 37개국, 158개 도시에서 활동 중이며, 수천 건의 추천과 25개 최종 후보 가운데 선정되었다. 심사에는 혁신가, 외교장관, 국무총리, 예술가, 음악가, CEO, 예술감독 등 다양한 분야의 인사들로 구성된 저명한 심사위원단이 참여했다.

에어로센은 그간 예술의 사회적 역할과 지속가능성에 대한 새로운 방향을 제시해왔다. 화석연료, 리튬, 수소 없이 오직 태양과 바람, 공기만을 이용해 비행하는 에어로센은 인간과 지구, 그리고 우주의 생명체들이 맺는 관계를 윤리적 시각에서 재구성하고자 한다.
