The exhibition catalogue for Lucid Dreams, Jin Han Lee's solo exhibition at Gallery Hyundai, is now published.
Lucid Dreams offers a comprehensive overview of Jin Han Lee's fifteen-year-long artistic journey, spanning from moving to London in 2007, the beginning of her career in 2008, to her recent works following her return to Korea. Lee’s lively paintings cut across the abstract and figurative to channel emotions and thoughts that are hard to verbalize, such as the estrangement experience from language differences while living aborad, the emotions surrounding parting with a lover, and the intimacy conveyed through warmth. The catalogue presents over thirty visual plates, including exhibited and selected non-exhibited works, along with installation views of the exhibition. Also featured are two essays: curator and writer Hur Hojeong's “Jin Han Lee: Dreaming, Dancing,” which provides an overarching perspective on the artist’s body of work through the lens of this exhibition, and art critic Nayeon Gu's “Paintings of Adventure,” which examines Lee’s artistic journey up to 2021. Together, these essays provide a multifaceted approach to appreciating Jin Han Lee’s works.

이진한 작가의 개인전 《Lucid Dreams》을 기념한 도록이 발간되었다.
《Lucid Dreams》은 2007년 런던으로 건너가 2008년 본격적인 작품 활동을 시작한 시점부터, 15년간의 영국 생활과 귀국한 이후 현재까지, 이진한의 작품 세계 전반을 집약적으로 살펴보는 전시이다. 이진한은 타국에서 경험한 언어적 소외감과 사랑하는 이와의 이별, 체온을 통한 친밀감 등 언어로 표현하기 어려운 감정과 사고를, 특유의 추상적이고 형상적인 기법을 넘나드는 생동감 있는 회화로 풀어낸다. 도록에는 전시 출품작부터 일부 미출품작까지 30여 점의 화보와 갤러리현대 전시 전경이 실렸다. 이번 전시를 중심으로 작품 세계 전반을 아우르는 허호정 큐레이터의 에세이 「이진한, 꿈꾸고 춤추는」와 2021년까지 이진한의 작업 세계를 살피는 미술평론가 구나연의 「모험의 회화」가 수록되어 《Lucid Dreams》과 더불어 이진한의 회화에 보다 다채로운 시선으로 접근할 수 있다.
