The exhibition catalogue for SAMSAM, Seulgi Lee’s solo exhibition at Gallery Hyundai, is now published in an E-Catalogue format.
SAMSAM seeks to metaphorically reveal Seulgi Lee’s artistic practice, where works transcend conventional meanings tied to their titles, objects, or referents. The works breathe life, offering viewers fresh perceptions and a shift in sensibility. This E-Catalogue features key highlights from Lee's artistic journey, including her newly unveiled BIANE Hanging Board Project, as well as her acclaimed series Blanket Project U, BAGATELLE, and K, presenting a comprehensive overview of her oeuvre.
Additionally, it includes a critical essay by independent curator Hyunjin Kim titled "Affable and Convivial, Innocuous Yet Lascivious: Notes on Seulgi Lee’s SAMSAM,” which delves into the artist’s creative practice. Other notable contributions include “Water Flowing between Origin and Shore” by Okkum Yang, Chief Curator and Head of Exhibition and Education Division at the Seoul Museum of Art, which explores Lee’s sculptural experiments rooted in oral traditions and language, and “Pigments Used in the Works of Seulgi Lee’s Exhibition” by Kwang-kwan Joo, a Seoul Intangible Cultural Heritage Dancheong Artisan Certified Trainee, which details the traditional pigments and craftsmanship involved in Lee's collaborative projects. These essays provide a rich context for understanding the cultural, material, and conceptual dimensions of her works.

이슬기의 개인전 《삼삼》 도록이 E카달로그로 발간되었다.
《삼삼》은 작업 제목이나 오브제, 또는 지시 대상이 가진 전형적인 의미를 넘어서 작품에 생명력을 불어넣고 관람자에게 새로운 인식과 감각의 전환을 선사하는 이슬기의 작업 세계를 은유적으로 포괄하는 전시이다. 이번 E카달로그에는 전시에서 새롭게 선보였던 연작 〈현판 프로젝트〉와 더불어 대표 연작인 〈이불프로젝트: U〉, 〈바가텔〉, 〈K〉의 화보도 함께 실려 이슬기의 주요 작품을 한눈에 감상할 수 있도록 구성했다.
또한 이슬기의 작업 세계 전반에 대한 심도 깊은 분석을 담은 김현진 독립 큐레이터의 평론 「'즐겁고 다정하게, 무해하고 음탕하게' 이슬기 개인전 《삼삼》에 부치는 글」과 작가의 작품 〈느린 물〉에서 시작하여 구전 문화와 언어를 바탕으로 진행된 조형 실험을 다룬 양옥금 서울시립미술관 전시교육과장의 글 「기원과 기슭을 흐르는 물」, 단청 장인들과의 협업으로 탄생한 작품에 사용된 안료에 대한 설명을 담은 주광관 서울시 무형문화유산 단청장 이수자의 「이슬기 작가 전시에 사용된 안료」가 수록되어 보다 이슬기의 작품 세계에 대한 입체적인 시각을 제시한다.
