Tomás Saraceno’s Fly with Pacha, into the Aerocene (2017–2023 ongoing), a collaborative film created in partnership with indigenous communities in Argentina since 2017, is currently on view as part of the film screening program ‘Idea Museum’ at Leeum Museum of Art. The ‘Idea Museum,’ a newly-launched public program at Leeum, is an annual initiative that selects a thematic focus and hosts interdisciplinary symposiums, film screenings, and seminars to explore the societal roles and boundaries of art institutions. 

Fly with Pacha, into the Aerocene serves as a voice for ecological and social justice, depicting a journey around the sun with Pachamama, navigating the skies without the use of fossil fuels, in collaboration with the indigenous population of northern Argentina. The screening featuring Saraceno’s work takes place at M2 in Leeum Museum of Art until December 24, 2023.

토마스 사라세노가 2017년부터 6년간 아르헨티나 원주민 커뮤니티와 협업하여 제작한 〈에어로센을 향해 파차와 함께 날다〉가 리움미술관 퍼블릭 프로그램 ‘아이디어 뮤지엄’의 필름 스크리닝에서 상영되고 있다. 리움에서 올해 처음 진행하는 ‘아이디어 뮤지엄’은 매년 주제를 선정하여 학제 간의 교류를 통한 심포지엄, 필름 스크리닝, 세미나 등을 개최하여 미술관의 사회적 역할 모색과 경계 확장을 위한 퍼블릭 프로그램이다.

〈에어로센을 향해 파차와 함께 날다〉는 생태 사회적 정의를 위한 사회적인 목소리를 내는 프로젝트이다. 북아르헨티나 지역의 원주민들과 협력하여 화석 연료 없이 하늘을 나는 기구 파차마마와 함께 태양 주위를 도는 여정을 보여준다. 작품은 12월 24일까지 리움 M2에서 관람할 수 있다.
