An exhibition catalogue for Matti Braun’s inaugural exhibition Ku Sol is published. The catalogue presents colorful plates of around fifty works including silk abstract paintings and glass sculptures, along with two essays to guide the viewers into the works and practice of the artist. In her essay “Becoming Alien,” art historian Beth Citron interweaves the connection between Matti Braun’s work and Indian film director Satyajit Ray's unrealized film script, and analyzes the larger semantic network layered around rich narratives and concepts. Additionally, Jaesik Kwak, a chemist and novelist, explores the history of the development and acceptance of science fiction as a genre in his essay "Currents and Trends in Korean Science Fiction" and provides a broader perspective in viewing Braun’s works.
