An exhibition catalogue for Seung-taek Lee‘s solo exhibition (Un)Bound is published. The catalogue presents various plates from Lee’s “binding” series: the works in which twine and rope appear as key media physically visualizing his concepts; other works in which rope itself is not physically featured, but the marks of binding are embraces; and his “unbound” canvas-based works. The various plates are organized to provide a vivid experience that resembles the viewing of an exhibition in a white-cube setting. The catalogue includes an essay The "Binding" of Seung-taek Lee: The Methodology of Non-Sculpture by art historian Cho Soojin, Lee’s idea sketches from 1980 for his art book, a selected chronology with various installation and archive photographs and the foreword by HyungTeh Do, a passionate supporter of Lee’s digital archiving project.
