This year's Korea Artist Prize exhibition opens at National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul. Seulgi Lee's new work Dong Dong Dari Gori, put on display at Gallery 2.⠀

"Lee's new work Dong Dong Dari Gori, put on display at Gallery 2, transforms the exhibition space using traditional Korean architecture, craft and folklore aspects. Hanging in the space are glass containers holding water from different rivers around the world that have been sent by the artist's acquaintances, while playful spirit is also added to the exhibition through the addition of Korean folk songs and traditional French games. Lee's new work aims to exemplify the artist's prolonged contemplation on the captivating natural forms of man-made objects, which reveal the mysteries of the fundamental relationship between people and nature."

《올해의 작가상 2020》전이 국립현대미술관 서울에서 개막했다. 이슬기 작가의 신작 <동동다리거리>는 전시실2에서 감상할 수 있다. 

"신작 <동동다리거리>는 전통 건축과 공예, 민속적 요소들을 이용해 전시장을 새로운 모습으로 바꾸어 놓는다. 전시장 곳곳에는 작가의 지인들이 보내온 세계 각지의 강물이 담긴 유리 용기들이 걸려 있으며, 여기에 한국 민요와 프랑스 전통 놀이 등 유희적인 요소들이 곁들여진다. 이번 신작은 인간이 만들어 낸 물건들의 원초적이면서도 유희적인 형태, 그리고 그것을 드러내는 인간과 자연의 근원적이면서도 신비로운 관계에 대한 작가의 오랜 성찰을 반영한다."
