The first guest of the newly furbished Harper’s Bazaar Art is Minjung Kim. Writer Dongsun Ahn, who describes her first encounter with Minjung’s Insight as a pull at her heartstrings, and photographer Hye-Ryeong Min, who showcases delicate and poetic perspectives, met the artist at her New York studio.

“You may witness the ground for my artistic practice in my works. The calligraphy teacher from my childhood had always emphasized that the ideas that may seem contrary to each other – Yin and Yang, order and chaos, and light and shadow – are actually in a constant circulation, based on reading and writing verses from the Buddhist scriptures or Lao Tzu.
