MOON Kyungwon & JEON Joon’s video works will be screened as part of Visible Sounds, Audible Pictures, a special edition of Night on Earth taking place at Futura Seoul today, June 13, at 5 PM.
Night on Earth, Futura Seoul’s signature public program, explores contemporary sensibilities and critical questions across various disciplines and media. This edition is organized in collaboration with the Hwaum Chamber Orchestra’s renowned Hwaum Project. Drawing from the project’s extensive archive, Visible Sounds, Audible Pictures brings together selected works that illuminate the encounter between media art and contemporary composition. As part of the program, MOON Kyungwon & JEON Joon’s El Fin del Mundo (2012), Hyperrealism: Portrait of Brothers (2007), and Taxidermy (2009) will be screened.
Following the screening and performance program, an artist talk will be held with Moon Kyungwon and JEON Joon, joined by Jung-Ah Woo, Professor at POSTECH, offering an in-depth conversation on the featured works and the artists' broader practice.
문경원 & 전준 작가의 영상 작품이 오늘(6월 13일) 오후 5시 푸투라서울에서 열리는 《지구의 밤: Visible Sounds, Audible Pictures》 프로그램을 통해 상영된다.
푸투라서울의 기획 프로그램 《지구의 밤》은 장르와 매체의 경계를 넘어 동시대의 다양한 감각과 질문을 탐구하는 시리즈로, 이번 행사는 화음챔버오케스트라의 화음 프로젝트와의 협업으로 진행된다. 지난 20여 년간 축적된 화음 프로젝트의 아카이브 가운데 미디어아트와 창작음악의 만남이 돋보이는 작품들을 선별하여 선보이며 문경원 & 전준의 영상 작품 〈세상의 저 편〉(2012), 〈하이퍼리얼리즘: 형제의 상〉(2007), 〈박제〉(2009)가 상영될 예정이다.
이번 프로그램은 영상 상영과 라이브 연주로 구성되며 이어서 포항공과대학교의 우정아 교수와 문경원 & 전준 작가가 참여하는 아티스트 토크가 마련되어 작품과 작업 세계에 대한 심도 있는 대화를 나눌 예정이다.
