Kim Bohie 김보희: SHAPE OF NATURE / SHAPE OF LIFE

Kim Bohie's immersive media artwork The Days (2022–2025) is on view on the large-scale LED screen in the Central Millennium Hall at Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 through November 14.

Based on Kim’s eponymous painting The Days (2022), which brings together the morning sea and the night sky into a single pictorial landscape, the immersive media work unfolds in three chapters: "Light Covering the Sea," "Calm Afternoon," and "Vibrant Green Night." Tracing the passage of time, invites viewers into an immersive journey through primordial nature, evoking the artist's contemplative vision of the natural world through shifting light, color, and time.
The project was organized through a collaboration between the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS), CAN Foundation, Incheon

International Airport Corporation (IIAC), and Korea Airports Corporation (KAC). Presented during the summer holiday season and Frieze Seoul in September 2026, the project aims to transform the airport into a space for arts and culture, introducing Korean contemporary art to both domestic and international audiences. Across Terminal 1, visitors encounter works that reflect on the cycles of nature and the full spectrum of human emotion.

Meanwhile, Kim Bohie will present a solo exhibition at Gallery Hyundai in August 2026.

김보희의 실감 미디어아트 〈The Days〉(2022–2025)가 인천국제공항 제1여객터미널 중앙 밀레니엄홀의 대형 LED을 통해 오는 11월 14일까지 상영 중이다. 

아침 바다와 밤하늘이 한 화면에 결합된 풍경을 보여주는 김보희의 대표 회화 〈The Days〉(2022)를 모티브로 제작된 실감 미디어 아트 〈The Days〉는 ‘바다를 덮는 빛’, ‘고요한 그날 오후’, ‘생동하는 초록의 밤’ 세 개의 장으로 구성된다. 시간의 흐름을 따라 태초의 자연에서 하루를 보내는 듯한 몰입적 경험을 제안하며, 자연을 응시하는 작가의 시선과 빛, 색, 시간의 변화를 감각적으로 구현한다.

이번 프로젝트는 예술경영지원센터, 캔파운데이션, 인천국제공항공사, 한국공항공사가 협력해 마련되었다. 여름 휴가철과 9월 프리즈 서울 기간에 맞춰 공항을 문화예술 공간으로 확장하고, 국내외 이용객에게 한국 현대미술을 소개하기 위해 기획되었다. 인천국제공항 제1여객터미널에서는 자연의 순환과 변화 속에서 인간의 희노애락을 담아낸 다양한 작품을 만나볼 수 있다. 

한편, 김보희는 오는 8월 갤러리현대에서 개인전을 개최할 예정이다.
