Gallery Hyundai is pleased to announce a selective presentation of leading Korean modern masters and mid-career contemporary artists for Art Basel Miami Beach 2022. Widely acknowledged as pioneers in the development of Korea's contemporary art history, the artists in the gallery's presentation will include Quac Insik, Kim Tschang-Yeul, Chung Sang-Hwa, Seung-taek Lee, Park Hyunki, Lee Kun-Yong, Lee Kang-So, Choi Minhwa, Minjung Kim, and Kang Seung Lee. Through their voices, Gallery Hyundai will be narrating a rich and multifaceted art historical lineage encompassing the avant-garde movement as well as the Dansaekhwa and Minjung art (People’s art) movements. Likewise, participating works share a kinship in their exploration of materiality, surface, and the role of visual art.

갤러리현대는 〈아트바젤 마이애미 비치 2022〉에서 한국 현대미술의 원로작가들과 중견 작가들의 대표작 및 신작을 엄선하여 선보인다. 곽인식, 김창열, 정상화, 이승택, 박현기, 이건용, 이강소, 최민화, 김민정, 이강승은 한국 근현대 미술사의 지평을 확장해온 작가들이다. 갤러리현대는 이번 페어에서 실험미술뿐만 아니라 단색화와 민중미술까지 아우르는 풍부하고 다면적인 미술사적 계보를 선보일 예정이며, 출품작들은 물질, 표면, 그리고 시각 예술의 역할에 관한 탐구를 담아내고 있다.
